an LED mod on my PS2, next to the ir reciever. here are the instructions: BEFORE YOU FOLLOW THIS YOU MUST ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO YOU OR YOUR EQUIPMENT BY FOLLOWING THIS GUIDE. what you need: thin wire (use kynar wire if possible or strip the cable from a parallel port/lpt port cable: has plenty wire in there :P) solder soldering iron resistor(s) LED(s) wire stripper hot glue gun hot glue stick(s) heatshrink/wrapshrink tubing or insulation tape PS2 philips screwdriver flat screwdriver before you start, please note that the LED will stay on CONTINUOUSLY when the power is plugged in. the PS2 may be off, but the LED will still be on with the power plugged in. you can add a switch if you like but i haven't added one. 1. open the ps2 up with the philips screwdriver and locate the power input on the back. the yellow input: inner pic = positive, outer = negative 2. use any LED upto 8.5v rated, but if you use an LED rated at less than 8.5v you will need a resistor. use this link to work it out: ledcalc.com most LED's are between 1.5v and 3.6v. i used a 3.6v LED with a 100ohm resistor. works nicely. 3. cut a length of wire enough to be wired around and about the heatsink in the ps2, and reach wherever you want the LED to go. solder them both onto the correct polarities (negative and positive) on the LED. 4. place the LED where you want it, (in my case, just under the motherboard behind the grille), and use some hot glue if possible to hold it ...

This system had YLOD it was repaired correctly, new arctic silver thermal paste, fan mod, and now has lifetime warranty. This is a professional fan speed adjustment, there are no wires hanging out, extra fans on the side, power taken from a usb plug wire etc. like other bad videos you see on youtube. The fan constantly runs at the speed it is set to from a power source on the mainboard. Everything is professional soldered and shrink wrapped then guaranteed for life. Using external fans is not efficient, what sense does it make to force or suck air against a slower moving fan? NONE, air chooses the path of least resistance, so the air will be blown back out of the side of the add on fan, or cool air will be sucked from the gaps and back out.

Blazer GB2001 Self-Igniting Butane Micro-Torch Overview

The GB2001, Blazer’s original butane refillable micro torch, is a time-tested, gas torch that creates a precise flame emitting from a nozzle head, allowing direct heat application to an object. It is commonly used for detailed purposes such as brazing, plumbing, soldering, jewelry making, culinary, automotive and dental and lab applications.

The GB2001 has a rubber, diamond-shaped, outer body finish, for safe grip and ease of use. It features a gas flow adjustment lever to allow for ease of flame heat and precision change. Its torch flame is adjustable from yellow to more precise and hot blue flame. The torch comes with an attachable, tabletop stand for hands-free work. It offers a long burn time, compared to some other Blazer micro torch products.

The torch houses a piezoelectric ignition system, which is based on a pressurized molecular reaction, and requires no electric connection. Piezoelectric energy occurs when the trigger is activated, releasing a small, spring-loaded internal hammer that strikes a crystal, producing a spark and resulting in gas flame ignition.

With a maximum flame temperature of 2,500 degrees F, the GB2001 has a continuous burn time of approximately 1.5 to 2.0 hours, at maximum fuel volume, and has a 26-gram gas capacity. The torch head has a 90-degree fixed angle, and its flame range is 0.5 to 1.25 inches. It has a safety component that offers manual lock of the ignition, when not in use. It measures 6.0 (l) x 3.0 (w) x 2.5 (d) inches, weighs 6.8 ounces and has a black body finish. This product is intended strictly for use in professional and industrial environments. In accordance with federal regulations, home use of this product is prohibited.
